Update Your Group’s Info!

Have you updated your group’s info lately?  Whether your group is open to new people and searchable on the finder or you couldn’t squeeze in another person if there was a $1000 reward…it’s important to keep your group’s info up-to-date.

Keeping your info current helps the Community Life team keep up with all that’s going on.  With nearly 250 groups…it’s much easier if everyone can play their part.

Here’s a simple explanation of how to update your group’s topic:

  1. Log in right here.
  2. Click “Your Groups.”  If you have more than one group, click on the name of the group that you need to update.
  3. Click “View Settings” in the right sidebar.
  4. Click “Edit Details” in the right sidebar.  Change the description to reflect the study you are using (or are about to start).  For example, if you’ll be doing “Buts of the Bible,” make that change so unconnected people can find you.  You can add additional details after that, but the first phrase should be the series title.
  5. If you want your group to be searchable, scroll down and select “Buts of the Bible” (or whatever study you’re doing) from the list of Custom Fields.  While you’re they’re, deselect any other study that might be selected.
  6. Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes.”

Buts of the Bible is going to be a great study.  If you’re joining us, we’d love to include your group.  Be sure and follow these simple steps.  If you get stuck, contact your coach or Email Leslie for a next step.
